Is it worth hiring an interior designer for just one room?
Absolutely. In fact, a lot of our best projects are single rooms — often the living room or master bedroom — where the homeowner just couldn’t quite get it to come together on their own. The value of bringing in a designer isn’t about the size of the project, it’s about getting a space that actually works. Even a single well-designed room can change how a whole home feels.
Do you work with homes around the lake or just in downtown Frederick?

How do I know what style I actually want?
Most people can’t describe their style in design terminology — and that’s completely fine. We don’t need you to know whether you want “transitional” or “organic modern” or anything like that. We ask different questions: How do you want to feel when you walk in the room? What do you want to avoid? What are some spaces you’ve been in that felt right to you? That conversation gets us to the same place, just in a more natural way.
How long does a typical project take?
It really depends on the scope. A single room refresh — furniture, rugs, lighting, accessories — can come together in a few weeks once we have a plan. A kitchen renovation or larger multi-room project takes longer, often several months, and lead times on furniture and materials can extend timelines further. We set realistic expectations upfront so there are no surprises along the way.
